Frequently Asked Questions
Projects are available year-round, but most internships take place in the summer (June–August) or winter (December–February).
Yes, you will receive a salary. Salaries vary depending on the opportunity, but it is always indicated on our online portal. Typically, the salary is enough to cover accommodation and most food expenses. As a reference, students interning in Amsterdam through AIESEC earn around 1150 euros per month after taxes.
We typically recommend starting to apply three to four months before your desired start period. At this time, most of the projects you would want to choose are already available, and you will still have time to review and submit applications for several different projects.
Most 'Global Talent' internships are related to business and economics. The projects are usually connected to fields of study such as (international) business administration, economics, supply chain management, and strategic management. We also have many internship opportunities in IT, marketing, and engineering. Not sure if your profile fits? Feel free to contact your local AIESEC office.
Formally, there is no minimum ECTS requirement. However, we advise students to have earned at least 120 ECTS before submitting an application, as this will significantly increase your chances of being approved for the internship.
